I found myself asking why laws existed, how governments made decisions, and why some people seemed to have access to justice while others did not. Those questions never faded, they grew into a purpose.
That purpose sharpened inside Elizabeth Seton's law program, which included Mock Trial, Model UN, and debate, where I learned to think critically, argue persuasively, and take legal complexity seriously.
Travel turned the purpose into a mission. Service work abroad showed me how much a person's opportunities can hinge on the accessibility of legal representation and the strength of the institutions around them. This convinced me that justice should never be a matter of geography.
I'm not approaching law as a fixed career path, and more like a toolkit for structural reform: building networks of attorneys, legal aid organizations, and policymakers who can expand access to legal services together.
